Till Lindemann Is Back: New Single "Es brennt…" Just Dropped
The man does not rest. With his European tour barely in the rearview mirror, Till Lindemann is already releasing new music. "Es brennt…" landed digitally on March 26, 2026, via Out of Line Music and it's exactly the kind of track you'd expect from the Rammstein frontman: blunt, brooding, and ruthless.
What the Song Is About (Without Overanalyzing It)
The lyrics do the talking. "Es brennt…" — German for "It Burns…" — paints a picture of people who want passion but are terrified of the heat that comes with it. They want fire, just not too much. They want to feel alive, but without the scars. The closing lines cut right through any romanticism: the flame laughs as it bites into the flesh of those who thought they could have it both ways.
The track was produced by Nicolas Ludwig, with guitars courtesy of Clemens Wijers and drums by Henka Johansson.
NSFW Video and a Star-Studded Physical Release
An official NSFW music video accompanied the release, packed with live footage and behind-the-scenes moments from the road. It's raw and exactly what fans wanted.
The physical release on May 29 goes even further: CD and 12" vinyl editions will include Lindemann's cover of Marlene Dietrich's 1930 classic "Ich bin von Kopf bis Fuss auf Liebe eingestellt", plus two remixes — one from Alex Terrible of Slaughter To Prevail and a gothic-infused "Doomfire Version" from Greg Mackintosh of Paradise Lost.
Is an Album Coming?
Since 2023's "Zunge", Lindemann has kept a steady pace: "Meine Welt" in December 2024, "Und die Engel singen" in August 2025, the expanded "Zunge 2025" in September, "Alles ändert sich" in February 2026, and now "Es brennt…"
Whether this is another standalone single or the opening shot of a full album remains to be seen. With the Till Fest on the horizon, it wouldn't be surprising if something bigger is in the works. For now, one thing is clear: Lindemann is in a creative streak, and he's not slowing down.
